Environmental Graphics - Vault 146 Restaurant, Windsor NSWWe based these graphics on the life of the bushranger Captain Thunderbolt who
was born in Windsor (where this restaurant is located). Being in an old bank
building, we liked the irony of elevating this popular character from the
prisons of 1800's to being featured on the walls of a bank and styled as
if he belongs on a bank note.
The design features a pistol to represent his hobby, horses to represent his trade,
and swimming to acknowledge his brave escape from Cockatoo Island prison,
by swimming through shark infested waters with the assistance of his wife.
The map of New South Wales tells of his colourful life story.
